Floyd Allen Jr.
BANGS - Floyd Allen Jr., 73, died Monday at his home after a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Allen officiating. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery, directed by Bangs Funeral Home.
Mr. Allen was born in Rising Star and had lived in Bangs for 45 years. He was the retired owner-operator of Floyd Allen's Garage. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of Bangs American Legion post and Disabled American Veterans. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He married Jimmie Mask in 1956 in Brownwood.
Survivors include his wife of Bangs; four daughters, Brenda Bartlett of Abilene, Ronda Mitchell of Brownwood and Connie Geron and Misti Allen, both of Bangs; two sons, Jesse Allen of Brownwood and Heath Allen of Austin; three brothers, Buddy Allen, Bobby Allen and Larry Allen, all of Bangs; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
